What God is doing here

A living laboratory — owned by Africa.

The Nairobi Model City is our flagship proof-of-concept for NXT Move Africa — a living laboratory where young African leaders are integrating mercy and justice into a Christ-centered, intergenerational lifestyle of action. This is not something being done to Nairobi. It is something being done by Nairobi, with Convoy of Hope and NXT Move walking alongside as co-learners and strategic partners.

How it works

Four pillars. One city.

Four Pillars · Nairobi Model City
01
National Garages Committee

A living, relational mechanism: bi-weekly gatherings of young leaders across faith networks and vocations. Projects emerge organically — not from a strategic plan, but from disciples asking how they can be the Kingdom here.

02
Mercy-First Lens

Where Manila enters through justice and lawyers, Nairobi enters through mercy and community. Lifestyle-rooted, discipleship-shaped action that creates the relational soil where systemic justice naturally emerges.

03
Local Ownership

Savannah and the Nairobi team are not waiting for permission. They've submitted a lean, relational plan rooted in existing infrastructure. Convoy and NXT Move remove barriers and walk alongside — they do not own the vision.

04
Continental Replication

Mombasa amplifies via the YFC General Assembly in July 2026. The October Showcase invites 5–6 African cities — Kampala, Lagos, Addis Ababa, Kigali — into the next replication wave.

Two paths, one destination

Nairobi & Manila — converging.

Nairobi · Primary
Mercy → Justice
a relational starting point

Energy originates from mercy. Community leaders, young people, and faith networks discover that integrated, lifestyle-rooted mercy creates the conditions where justice naturally emerges. People transformed relationally by Jesus's love become agents of systemic change.

Manila · Parallel
Justice → Mercy
an institutional starting point

Energy originates from justice. A network of lawyers and civic leaders ask how systems can serve compassion. Different starting point, same destination — both paths converge on communities transformed by the Kingdom of God.

Nairobi Continental Africa

The question is not whether this vision is possible. Nairobi is already proving it is. The question is whether we move with the momentum young leaders have created.
