Five NXT Move regions, working as one

To reach the next generation in the least-reached part of the world. Leaders from the Middle East & North Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia met in Bangkok in September 2026. This is what we are, what we aim for, and how we work together.

Why this initiative

NXT Move chooses to be intentional about the least-reached, the persecuted and the marginalised. We will not grow only where the majority-Christian world offers opportunity. We go where the need is greatest and the Church is smallest.

The 10/40 Window

Where the next generation is — and where the Church is not yet

5.5bnpeople live in the Window — two in every three people on earth
96%of the world's unreached people live here
5,900unreached people groups — eight in every ten in the world
~5%of people in the Window are Christian
97 of 100missionaries go to people who already have access to the gospel
$2 per $100,000of Christian income reaches the unreached
1 in 2of the world's 15–24-year-olds live in Asia's part of the Window

The world's largest concentration of young people. The smallest share of Christians. The smallest share of missions giving. This is where the next generation is — and where the Church is not yet.

Our guiding conviction

God has already raised up the leaders the 10/40 Window needs. Our call is to bring them out of isolation into Kingdom collaboration — so that the next generation reaches the next generation among the least-reached.

Our vision

Focusing on the world's least-reached: collaborating and empowering networks, ministries and leaders to increase fruitfulness in the 10/40 Window through new innovation, multiplying best practice, strategic funding and scaling impact.

Five NXT Move regions, working together

The Window runs from West Africa to East Asia between 10° and 40° north. Five NXT Move regions sit inside it. Each works in its own context. Together, they are one collective. Countries in bold carry an Initiative project today. NXT Move is at work more widely in every region.

Our shared goals · written by the room

Together we aim to reach five goals

1

Boldly sharing

The next generation boldly sharing their faith and transforming communities.

Discipled, disciple-making, multiplying.
2

Resilient

The next generation resilient in following Jesus in the midst of persecution.

Leaders who choose to stay.
3

The Church growing

Churches and faith communities growing and being planted.

In, through and for the Church.
4

Locally sustained

Increased economic sustainability of 10/40 faith movements.

Local ecosystems, sharing within the region.
5

Sending

Communities in and around the Window sending people on mission into it.

More people sent, short and long term.
As a collective, we

Six things we do together

Everything below is work already running. But being together makes new things possible. We will make room for them — new ideas, new tools, new ways to reach a generation. Some of what accelerates Christianity in the Window has not been invented yet.

1

Gather.

The five goals are only reached in our countries if the leaders here are empowered, resilient and accelerating. So we build real relationships, support key leaders and share what works. Four times a year online, a call we prioritise. Once a year in person where we can, attached to a gathering already happening. And in 2028, a 10/40 NXT Gen Summit to celebrate together.

2

Create awareness. Increase visibility.

We make the need and the opportunity among the unreached known, and we make our shared projects visible — one story, told together. We speak for the work we do together, not for any region, country or church. We stand in the gap for the lost, and for the leaders of the church among them.

3

Measure together.

Narrative first. We look for and tell the stories that show the five goals being fulfilled — in the words of the people who live them, anonymised wherever they must be.

Numbers that fit. Indicators that narrate progress in each context; what counts in one country is not what counts in the next. Tools such as the Jesus-Following Index (jfindx.org) are offered, not required — twelve questions, four minutes on a phone, ages 13–30, run by the local team under its own name and anonymised before it goes anywhere else.

Nothing is measured top-down; everything goes through the people on the ground. Measuring together shows progress and lets us direct energy to what is actually happening — in some of the hardest places in the world.

4

Mobilize multipliers.

We believe the key to accelerating the growth of Christianity here is not only bringing people to share the gospel from the outside in — it is activating the next generation from the inside out. Equipping, empowering and mobilizing local next-gen believers to reach their generation. Each region does this in its own way. Together we share it, accelerate it and celebrate it. With the wider NXT Move family we also draw on Leadership Cultivation, the Women's Leadership Initiative and the Mercy Movement. And we try new ideas together — what works in one place, another can test.

5

Go digital, together.

Almost every young person in the Window carries a phone. The gospel can travel where a team cannot. So we do not build one platform — we hold one conversation. Each region brings its digital work, in Russian, Filipino, Arabic, Urdu, Nepali. We compare what works and take what can be reproduced. Evangelism first, not everything. Taking part is optional. One of our four calls each year is the digital session — and this is where new ideas will show up first.

6

Raise resources together.

We remove waste and make sure money reaches the places where it will do the most. We keep one another accountable. We share our resource relationships. And we cut the cost of raising funds by acting as one.
