As leaders, it is crucial to ponder upon the question of relevance. Irrelevance sets in when the rate of external change outpaces the internal rate of change within an organization or individual.

The Challenge of Staying Relevant

Throughout history, generations have become lost when one generation fails to pass on crucial knowledge and values to the next.

2. Clarity over Certainty

In Christ, there is no room for confusion or cloudy vision, and when faced with an increasingly uncertain world, leaders must prioritize Christ-like clarity. The faster things change, the more valuable clarity becomes. Take a definitive direction, create clarity around it, and remain adaptable. Just like a bicycle cannot be steered when stationary, progress requires movement.

3. Major on the Majors

When everything seems to be in constant motion, find a fixed point to anchor yourself. Focus on the Godly, absolute truth and build your leadership upon these unchanging foundations. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). While our methods may change, our message and our mission remain the same.
