Entering the Realm of All Possibilities with God

Entering the Realm of All Possibilities with God
“The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. He specialises in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His Almighty power. Nothing is too small for His love.” — Corrie ten Boom
These deeply impacting words were not written by Corrie from a place of comfort. Instead, here is a woman who endured extreme suffering, pain, and loss during World War II. Stripped of every human comfort inside the brutal walls of a concentration camp, Corrie knew exactly where to take her desperation: to an all-powerful, all-loving God who makes a specialty out of the impossible.
While most of us will never experience what Corrie did, we cannot deny that we are living in a world carrying staggering weight and need.
Listening in on a World in Need
Recently, our global community gathered for a day of prayer. As voices connected from every corner of the world, we heard stories that were difficult to carry — martyrdom and severe religious persecution, grinding poverty and systemic violence, war and displacement, rising political tensions, surging youth suicide and growing mental health crises, failing institutions, church closures, and broken families.
Hearing the sheer volume of need was heart-wrenching. Yet, as the hours passed during our prayer time, something shifted. In the middle of those heavy realities, a quiet, faith-filled resolve began to rise.
If you had tuned in, you might have been shocked by the boldness of the prayers being offered. There was no attempt to downplay the severity of the hardship, but there was an even greater conviction regarding the scale of God’s power.
Did we pray for long-standing wars to end?
Yes, we did.
Did we ask for justice and righteousness to prevail in broken nations?
Yes, we did.
Did we pray for spirit-crushing anxiety and fear to lift from this generation?
Yes, we did.
In those moments, we stepped out of the world of human limitation and entered God’s realm — where everything becomes possible.
Holding on to the Promise for the Desperate
It struck me that perhaps like never before, the world needs the body of Christ to stand up and pray with this kind of unshakeable confidence. We are simply putting into practice what Jesus promised over 2,000 years ago:
“Everything is possible for one who believes.” — Mark 9:23
When Jesus spoke those famous words, He wasn’t addressing a stadium of theologians. He was responding to a desperate father holding a terribly sick child. The boy had suffered violent seizures since childhood: thrown to the ground, foaming at the mouth, robbed of his speech, and repeatedly hurled toward fire or water. Human power had completely failed them. It was a textbook impossible situation.
Then everything changed.
The father shifted his situation out of the human realm and placed it directly into the hands of Christ. Jesus spoke, delivered the boy, and restored his life. It was a story father and son undoubtedly retold for the rest of their days — a living testimony that God’s love is never too far reached, and His power is never too small. For a moment, the world of “we can’t” gave way to the realm of “God can.”
Standing in an Uncertain World
Look around today, and the challenges feel equally overwhelming, ranging from disruptions in the economic and social spheres like youth employment, volatile markets, and rising costs of living, to cultural fractures like deep political divisions, isolation, and declining mental health. Let’s not forget some existential threats are staring at us, like unchecked climate concerns and also the possibility of AI being a threat to humanity. Is there even a future to hope and dream about?
For millions of people, the total lack of control over these global shifts creates an overwhelming sense of dread. The question quietly echoing beneath the headlines is simple: Is there even a hopeful future to look forward to?
Why Good Endeavors Aren’t Enough
As believers, we have been given a distinct responsibility to bring these pressing needs into the realm of prayer.
Hard work, charitable endeavors, community outreach, and solid organizational programs are vital and we must keep doing them. But if we rely solely on human effort, we severely cap our ability to meet a world crying out for deep hope.
When we pray, we invite God to move. And when God moves, the world gets a front-row seat to His miraculous power and love in action.
The World Is Waiting
Corrie ten Boom realized in the depths of a concentration camp what we must remember today: we serve a God who specializes in the impossible.
Environments change, headlines shift, and culture fluctuates, BUT the God we pray to remains constant. His response to that desperate father centuries ago is the exact same response He offers us today: Everything is possible.
Let’s take Him at His word. Let’s pray with bold expectation, stepping past our limitations and into His limitless realm.
The world is waiting.
